Product Description

Soda ash, scientifically known as Sodium Carbonate (Na₂CO₃) , is a white, odorless, water-soluble salt. It is an alkali chemical with a strongly alkaline taste.

 Crucially, it is  not baking soda (sodium bicarbonate - NaHCO₃).Soda ash is a stronger base and has different applications.

 Appearance: Typically a fine, white powder or granules.
 Solubility: Highly soluble in water. Its solubility increases with temperature.
 Alkalinity: Forms a strongly alkaline solution (high pH) when dissolved in water.
 Hygroscopic: It can absorb moisture from the air (especially the monohydrate form).
